HEATH LEDGER

This really affected me. Twelve year old girls are blogging about it everywhere. I don't even know if I can continue this post. It's turning all Elliot Smith in here... I don't want this to affect my afternoon pretzel.

He danced like no one was watching.

He did squat thrusts like no one was screaming at him.

He lived, he laughed, he loved.

He will be remembered by all, except for the people who never knew who he was. They missed out. BIG TIME.

KPDQ REPORTING:
I was at services held for Mr. Ledger this morning in Los Angeles, California. Everyone was there--Tom O'Neil, 'Award Insider Extraordinaire', Tiger Woods' unknown sister, Donatella Versace's anorexic daughter, Baby Spice and her sucked-out non-baby fat. And Heath's boyfriend, John TravolTomCruGyllenhaDeGeneres.

All had kind words. Ironically, Smokeland, it would interest you to know that, despite the shock that has taken the world with a cold, icy grip of doom, not a single guest was deprived of his or her morning pretzel. Claire of Claire's Gourmet (www.clairesgourmet.com) was on-hand happily dishing out mozzarella infused pretzels, fettuccine alfredo pretzels, and, my favorite, honey avocado twist pretzels. When asked how she felt about the terrible events that befell the young up-and-comer, Claire had kind, simple words of solace to offer: "They say you can't get the AIDS from a toilet seat, but believe me, I'm pretty sure if you can get it from a monkey or a movie star, you can get it from a toilet seat. These pretzels have all-natural ingredients, and no trans-fats."

The day progressed with a quiet, tasteful concert by Dave Matthews Band.

The theme of the memorial was "Will & Grace."
